IQE is part of the Science Based Targets (SBTi). By joining this initiative, The IQE Group is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 (Scope 1+2) compared to 2021. In order to meet this objective, the Group has drawn up a Decarbonisation Plan which sets out the actions and deadlines that will enable it to achieve this reduction.

The IQE Group thus joins a group of 6,000 companies worldwide committed to a low greenhouse gas (GHG) future, in line with its responsible development strategy.

About the Science Based Targets initiative

Science Based Targets (SBTi) is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and is one of the Coalition's commitments. We Mean Business.

The initiative advocates science-based target setting as a powerful way to boost the competitive advantage of companies in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Science-based targets are greenhouse gas emission reduction targets that are in line with the level of decarbonisation needed to meet the Paris Agreement goals of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
